Melissa A. Henry (Navajo) is an independent filmmaker based in New Mexico, where she owns Red Ant Inc., a video production company. She is a 2007 Sundance Institute Fellow and a 2007 recipient of the New Visions/New Mexico Contracts Award. Henry teaches film at the University of New Mexico, in both their Albuquerque and Gallup campuses. She is a graduate of Fort Lewis College and the University of Maryland, and has worked at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian.
